Join a group of Providence friends for a simple supper and table fellowship! Sign up to participate and you will be assigned to a host home with a handful of other families. We’ll plan to have 3-4 families at each home and your host will coordinate the details of the time and menu.

The Men’s Talegate will be on October 17th from 6:00 to 9:00pm at the Nave’s home. Come for fellowship, jambalaya, traditional refreshments, and tallish tales. Jesus told his apostles to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. In that vein, come prepared to tell a tale, including two and a half truths. The most wisely crafted half truth will carry the Buc-ee into 2027.

Well, it’s official—the rain has claimed yet another Saturday! Unfortunately, due to today’s wet weather, we are cancelling Saturday Morning at the Park.

Everyone is invited to join us for a trail hike up to Johnson Farm and a picnic at the Peaks of Otter! We’ll be meeting at the Peaks of Otter Visitor Center (85919 Blue Ridge Parkway, Bedford) at 9:45am and we’ll begin the hike at 10:00am. The trail is 1 mile to Johnson Farm, where we’ll explore for 30 minutes and then head back for a picnic lunch together. Please pack your own lunch. Afterward families can head home, go to the lodge for a leisurely walk around the lake, or hike Sharp Top. We hope you’ll make plans to join us!

The Blue Ridge Women’s Center’s annual fundraising banquet is Thursday evening, October 8, at 6:30pm at Hotel Roanoke. This year’s theme is “Stand Firm,” based on 1 Corinthians 15:58. The keynote speaker will be Steventhen Holland who will bring us a message of rescue and redemption. It promises to be a night to remember!
