Providence is part of the Blue Ridge Presbytery, which consists of 21 PCA churches located in the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley region of Virginia.

The Blue Ridge Presbytery has four stated (regularly scheduled) meetings each year. Each meeting is hosted by a local church and begins with a worship service. Ruling elders and teaching elders discuss and vote on important issues within the church and our denomination, and laypeople are also invited to attend.

Please be in prayer for our church leaders and and our denomination, the Presbyterian Church in America.

Providence ladies are meeting together for an 4-week Bible study on 2 Peter on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30am at Mayhoward Johnston’s home.

Providence men meet for breakfast on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at Chick-fil-A in Salem. Come anytime between 7:00-9:00am!

Providence men are invited to watch the college football National Championship game and eat chili at Brian Hooker’s home (4730 Westward Lake Dr. Salem) on Monday, January 19th at 7:00pm.

We’ll be gathering for lunch after worship on Sunday, January 18th to hear about how the Lord is working in the life of our church.

We will be hearing a brief presentation before worship from Blue Ridge Women's Center on how God is using them to impact lives in the Roanoke Valley. We will also be starting a Baby Bottle Campaign that day. Just pick up a bottle on January 18 and fill it with coins, cash, or a check (made out to Blue Ridge Women's Center). Return your filled bottle to the church by February 1st, and know that you are helping women and men facing an unplanned pregnancy to find the hope and support they need to welcome their babies into the world.

Join us for Christmas Caroling in the Cherokee Hills neighborhood on Saturday, December 6th! We will be meeting at Joe and Becky McConnell’s house (5243 Cherokee Hills Dr. Salem) at 5:00pm, carol from 5:15-6:00pm, and return to the McConnell’s for chili and a fire pit in their backyard. We’re looking forward to a great time of fellowship together!

Providence women will conclude a 5-week book study on Covenants Made Simple by Jonty Rhodes at Wendy Nave’s home.

The men’s and women’s book studies are meeting on alternating weeks. The dates for the women’s study are 9/24, 10/8, 10/22, 11/5, and 11/19.
