We’ve rounded up our favorite story Bibles, books, and music for children. We will continue to add to this list as we come across other great resources. We hope you find them helpful as you train up your children to love and serve the Lord!

Children’s Story Bibles

The Child’s Story Bible is thorough and true to Scripture without being too wordy. Although there aren’t many pictures, this read-aloud Bible is great for your elementary-age children and retells every major Biblical event in-depth.

Beginning in Genesis and ending with Revelation, Kevin DeYoung provides engaging retellings of various Bible stories, explaining how they fit into the overarching storyline of Scripture.

Preschool-age children will enjoy The Little Hands Story Bible. Each two-page spread has a full picture and Bible story along with a couple simple discussion questions. We are currently reading this story Bible to the children in our nursery on Sunday mornings.

Children’s Music & Podcasts

Each episode in the Biggest Story podcast walks through a Bible story that will help kids see the biggest story of redemption and ultimately what - better yet, Who! - the Bible is all about: Jesus! 

The Getty Kids Hymnal series helps children learn the Christian faith through singing. The arrangements are kid-friendly and features songs the whole family can sing together!

The Sing the Bible series combines practical instruction and bedrock foundational truths. The characters are fun and the melodies are easy to remember. Both younger and older kids will enjoy Slugs & Bugs!

This album is a fantastic resource for teaching the catechism to your children! Diana Beach Batarseh has put all of the children's catechism questions into song form. Each track has one to three questions and includes proof texts read by children at the end.
